Version 1.6.0.3 "Hotfix!"


Yeesh, it's a bit dusty in here, isn't it? Anyways, this is a little stocking-stuffer for my puzzle-loving fans this Christmas Eve; I've been sitting on some tiny changes for Moth to the Moon that were nearly forgotten about, but in the spirit of giving, I've dug them up to share with everyone! These changes were mainly inspired by a close friend's playthrough of the game over the course of 2024, in which he unfortunately took a stray blow after "winning" in Valentine's rematch and had to restart the fight all over again... He also stumbled upon a very unusual and specific sprite glitch, so in his honor, we have exiled what is hopefully the last bug from Moth to the Moon (the bad kind, not the insect kind, of course)!

I couldn't find a clip of the bug in action, as it was fixed early in the year, and my messages about it are practically lost to time, but I did find an image of the modified code for Val's rematch that eliminates the potential for post-victory sadness. You might not understand the code, but I just thought it would be funny to attach it to this post regardless!

       

== VERSION 1.6.0.3 CHANGES ==

  • All lingering projectiles will now despawn after landing the finishing blow on the boss of floor 48.
  • A visual error in which Sue's sprite would not update if she is idle, in front of a ladder, and on top of a block that is suddenly destroyed has been fixed. Thanks, Juli!
