Problem Resolution! Version 1.1 Overhaul!


Hello, everyone! I accidentally forgot to enable a very important compatibility setting when I first uploaded Night Visitors 2, which meant that the game was running at different speeds on different computers. The game was running more slowly than it was actually supposed to on my machine until I noticed this, which meant that the game was originally balanced for that speed and nearly unplayable at its true speed as a result. I have gone through the code and messed with all sorts of values in order to produce a fairer experience that will be consistent for anyone who plays this game.

As I would like to keep this game "as is" as much as possible in the spirit of the game jam, I'll quickly describe the changes I've made here and hope that this is the final modification I need to make to Night Visitors 2!

== VERSION 1.1 CHANGES ==

  • Sue's maximum health has been returned to 10 from 30.
  • Enemies now start at half of their original speed, but enrage more quickly than before (maximum rage has them able to move at 75% of the original maximum rage speeds).
  • The spawn rate of enemies has decreased slightly, but still continues to increase slightly with each subsequent level.
  • The red combat and cyan visitor fire projectiles less often.
  • The boss moves at three-fourths of its original speed.
  • All projectiles have had their speeds halved.
